The very latest 411 on your faves in music, movies, TV, as well as the Paris Hilton set–all with my particular twisted view on it all!
- TimbalandW is turning his attention from the music business to the movies–he’s working with another outfit to co-produce a film called Vinyl, which is, surprise, about a band. So, let’s see if we can figure this out–he’ll make the movie a big success, then take all the stars from the movie and produce films for them that will make them big successes, and then he’ll mix and match them with other stars to make even more successful movies–any questions?
- Kanye WestW talked to People magazine on the anniversary of his mom Donda West’s death, and told them that he feels responsible for what happened to her, explaining, "I feel like I moved to California, and then my mom [did too], and she did stuff she wouldn’t have done if we’d stayed in Chicago." I rarely dispense advice, but maybe some is in order here: dude, all you’re responsible for is what you do with the life you have now that she’s gone–if what you do and who you are can honor what she saw in you, not only will she live on, but she’ll live in you…
NBC’s annual Christmas In Rockerfeller Center special includes some pretty special music when it airs December 3, including Beyonce, The Jonas Brothers, Idol’s David Cook, plus Faith Hill, Rascal Flatts and that amazing opera singer who won America’s Got Talent. Al RokerW from The Today Show will host again, and the live show will again conclude with the lighting of the big tree just off 49th and 5th–and about the only thing that can outshine that old peacock…
- Michael JacksonW has turned over Neverland RanchW to the company who helped keep it from foreclosure, although it will be a joint venture between Jacko and the real estate investment company affiliate who’s taking control of it. Whatever tlheir plans for the place, there is definitely some de-creepiness that has to be done first…
Jennifer AnistonW is still answering questions about comments she made in a Vogue interview about her ex Brad PittW and Angelina JolieW–she told Oprah on today’s show that she was just answering the reporter’s question about how it made her feel to hear Jolie describe the way she and Pitt fell in love in 2004, saying the remarks "were really uncool". Personally, the only thing she really needs to answer is how she learned to behave like such a grown-up in a town so full of overgrown babies…
- A former executive producer of American Idol isn’t a fan of the new season’s plans to include a fourth judge–songwriter Kara DioguardiW–to the additional mix of Simon, Paula and Randy, saying, "I think once you’ve been told, ‘You suck,’ you don’t need to be told another three times." No worries–I’m sure Paula will make up for it by trying to date as many of the contestants as possible…

Britney Spears had a bit of a scare when her son Jayden was admitted to a Mississippi hospital Sunday during a weekend family reunion in her Louisiana hometown, after he reportedly had a nasty allergic reaction to something he ate–the good news is he’s fine and was discharged last night. Poor kid probably ate something his father never fed him before–you know, anything not off the Happy Meal menu…
- Chrisitna Aguilera is releasing her first greatest hits package today–which, believe it or not, follows ten years of hits from her–titled Keeps Gettin’ Better, which is available exclusively from Target. the package includes new versions of Genie In A Bottle and Beautiful, as well as her current hit Keeps Gettin’ Better…
- Beyonce told an Associated Press interview that she never considered selling her wedding photos, saying, "They offer crazy money that’s just ridiculous. But in the end…it’s so not worth it." Then again, she and husband Jay-Z probably control the equivalent of a couple small nations’ economies…
- Entertainment Weekly reports that Colbie Callait, who a few years ago tried and failed to make the cut for American Idol, got a little payback last week when judge Randy JacksonW gave her an award for her song Bubbly–which she sang for her audition. She busted on Randy a bit, but the truth was that she never even made it past one of the show’s producers–who probably no longer works there…
Billy Ray Cyrus hinted to TV’s Access Hollywood that First Kids-elect Malia and Sasha Obama have been invited to guest star on daughter Miley’s hit Disney series Hanna Montana. I guess if it happens, they’ll just play kids like themselves–you know, who suddenly are famous beyond their wildest imaginations…
- YouTube will soon be a destination for full-length entertainment from MGM, including old and new classics like The Magnificent Seven and Legally Blonde. Some say they’re playing catch-up with the joint NBC-Fox venture Hulu, but don’t underestimate Google, YouTube’s owners–MGM could very soon stand for More Google Media…

- Justin Timberlake is showing the love for the links–he recently hosted a charity golf tournament to benefit the Shriners Club Hosptials, he’s working on opening his own green-friendly greens in hometown Memphis, and he’s just cut an endorsement deal with Callaway which will put JT on the course with their clubs, balls, and bags. All I can say is that if he ever starts to play the way he sing and dances, Tiger should watch his back…
Pink visited The View yesterday to talk about her new CD Funhouse and to explain her, well, unusual relationship with ex-husband Carey HartW–who she brutally attacks in songs like So What, but insists, quote, "We’re really yummy. We’re solid. We confuse our families. We confuse ourselves, but…we’re friends." If you are thinking that this is one seriously twisted chick, you would be correct…
- Rapper T.I., facing a prison term next March on a firearms conviction, believed he was ineligible to vote–but learned Georgia law only prohibits those felons actually incarcerated from casting a ballot. He hung out with the public yesterday to do his civic duty–maybe he’s hoping to elect someone who’ll commute his sentence…
- Janet Jackson’s Rock Witchu tour suffered another setback in Detroit Tuesday night–she was forced to eliminate a portion of her show to comply with a Michigan law prohibiting the simuation of sexual acts in a public performance (check out the clip below to get an idea of what those fans didn’t see). This lends a whole new meaning to "audience participation"…

- On the subject of all things Jackson, Jermaine JacksonW told the Hollywood Reporter that the Jackson 5W will reunite next year–including Michael, with Janet as opening act. It should be quite the spectacle–Janet molesting the audience, Michael probably molesting himself, Randy all "pitchy" and "dawg", and the rest of the family looking for a hole to crawl into…
- Just in case you were desperately holding out for it, let Lisa KudrowW of FriendsW fame straighten you out–there are no plans for a reunion now or at any other time since the show ended its run in 2004. Mostly it’s because no one can remember which car wash David SchwimmerW works at now…

- Pink’s new CD Funhouse is in stores today (10/28/08), which is kind of an ironic title since much of it is about her split with husband Carey Hart. In fact, she originally wanted to call it Heartbreak is a Mother-Bleeper–maybe she thought it was too subtle…
- Idol winner David Cook has hooked up with iTunes to promote his new single Light On–users of iPhone or iTouch can buy an application that will make your device light up and then play Cook’s song. David says it’s a take-off on holding up your lighter during a concert, adding, "You get a lighter during a rock ballad, and nobody burns their thumbs."
Ever since Brit tabloid The Sun published a dated photo of Katy Perry holding a knife next to a picture of a recently-stabbed teenager, it’s been a PR disaster for her–she took to her blog to call out the paper for trying to make her look like she condoned violence. Those comments apparently upset families of stabbing victims in the UK, who now want her removed as the host of the MTV Europe Awards November 7–held in the hometown of the pictured stabbing victim. And we thought her hit I Kissed A Girl would be controversial…
- The Black Eyed Peas are close to finishing their new CD The E.N.D., only Will. I. Am. says it will never be finished–because he plans to constantly update it with new versions every few months. Some might consider that the view of a perfectionist–my ex would call it fear of committment…
- Amy Winehouse has returned to the news–and the hospital–with a report that she was admitted for tests on her chest and lungs "as a precaution", according to her spokesperson. Smart move–the public had almost forgotten about her…
Dancing With The Stars is facing a whole different kind of elimination–yet another contestant has been forced to step away from the competition due to illness or injury, with Monday’s announcement that pro Julianne Hough not only has endometriosisW but will undergo an appendectomy today. Combined with the untimely departures of Olympic volleyballer Misty May-Treanor and Brooke Burke, these are either freakish coincidences, or the work of fellow contestant Cloris LeachmanW as evil Nurse Diesel from High AnxietyW…

After months of denials by spokespeople, Madonna and husband Guy Ritchie made it official–they announced Wednesday that they are divorcing after 8 years of marriage. There are financial details to work out, since Madge is worth about a half-billion dollars and Ritchie, well, isn’t….
- Billboard magazine reports that Britney Spears is definitely hitting the road next spring after cutting a tour deal with AEG Live, that it will be international, and visit midsize venues rather than theatres or stadiums. It sounds like another carefully-planned step made by her father, which proves that all celebrity parents aren’t publicity-seeking boobs that are painfully unaware of their childrens’ problems–but enough about Brit’s mom…
- Tina Fey still doesn’t know if she’ll return to Saturday Night Live this weekend to do her spot-on Sarah Palin impression–but CNN says that Palin herself will be a guest on the show. Wow–maybe Palin will do her Tina Fey impression…
- MTV’s Total Request Live, or TRL, says a final farewell November 16 and Beyonce will be there to mark the moment, telling the show Monday during an appearance that she owes a lot of success to them–both for her and Destiny’s Child. Maybe she’ll get husband Jay-Z to buy it and start his own channel–you know, Jigga TV…
- The mystery is over surrounding whatever was ailing Janet Jackson to force her to postpone 9 dates on her Rock Witchu tour–her reps announced Tuesday that she was diagnosed with a rare type of migraine-induced vertigo, but she’s receiving treatment and returned to performing Wednesday night in Washington DC. It must be great for her to resume her tour, and to realize that her only big headache isn’t brother Michael…
ohn McCain tried to make peace with David Letterman Thursday night, telling the late-night host that "I screwed up" by canceling an earlier appearance on the show, then endured some pretty sharp questioning by Letterman about his campaign and Sarah Palin. I think afterwards, he probably would have preferred a debate with Hillary Clinton…
