  • Amy Winehouse was released from the hospital Tuesday following an overnight stay, reportedly due to an adverse reaction to medicine.  So, whaddya think–this is either the usual "medicine" she knows so well, or it really was a legitimate treatment and her body rejected it as something foreign…

  • Justin Timberlake decided to get the record straight about the trend in trucker caps, telling Fashion Rocks magazine that it was he–and not Ashton Kutcher, who JT says has been taking credit–who started the craze in blue-collar headware when he was 17.  And to think of the sleepless hours I suffered over this…
  • A Georgia family’s new home built by ABC reality show Extreme Makeover: Family Edition in 2005 is due to be put on the auction block, thanks to an ill-advised use of  their home’s half-million dollar equity towards a now-failed business.  The show’s staff is understandably unhappy about this, but you have to admit this is just a different kind of extreme makeover for these brain surgeons…
  • American Idol host Ryan Seacrest had a Jaws-like experience over the weekend, when a fanged, cat-sized sea creature bit his toes while swimming in shallow water.  Goodness–I hope his hair is all right…

  • Paris Hilton has reportedly made a "generous" donation toward the construction of a new medical building on the site of LA’s Children’s Hospital, where she volunteered following her jail sentence last year.  This is either the effect of her romance with Good Charlotte’s Benji Madden, or a mistaken attempt to buy some shoes…

  • Rihanna continues to insist that she and Chris Brown are just friends, telling ABC’s The View on Monday, "We are not dating"–meanwhile, gossip reports quote Chris’ mom as saying, "Rihanna is the sweetest and sexiest girl Chris has ever dated."  These two are not dating about as much as J-Lo wasn’t pregnant…
  • Katy Perry of I Kissed A Girl fame has definitely got boys on her mind, as Travis McCoy of Gym Class Heroes told a reporter that he bought her a "promise ring" and that he wears a silver band with "Katy" inscribed on it.  That is definitely cute, but I was sort of expecting matching nose rings or tattoos…
  • The slow housing market has affected Usher’s plans to sell his Atlanta home–he’s cut the asking price $300,000 to an even $2 million.  Maybe if he offered to do a couple of free shows for the new owners, he could seal the deal…

  • Amy Winehouse’s father Mitch says the 24-year-old singer has early-stage emphysema and an irregular heartbeat, the result of smoking both cigarettes and crack cocaine, and has just 70% lung capacity.  Usually it’s pretty hard to make "heroin addict" sound like a minor problem…
