- Madonna launched the US leg of her Sticky And Sweet tour Saturday from New Jersey’s Izod Center, and the consensus of reports suggested her show is more acrobatic than erotic. She was impressive by all accounts, but how sleazy can a 50-year-old mother of two really be?
- Crunk king Lil’ Jon, one of Britney Spears’ collaborators on her upcoming Circus CD, told People magazine that the album has the goods to put her back on top, adding, "It’s going to be a big album. Britney is very intelligent and she’s really set up [for success]. She is focused and she wants it again, so it’s definitely going to happen for her." That’s high praise indeed–not to mention nice to know he can say more than just "Yeah!"…
 The Jonas Brothers say that the inspiration for their current single Lovebug was the movie Juno, as Nick explains, "Juno was one of our favorite movies at the time, and the soundtrack is…kind of odd, so we decided to put those elements in the song, and it came [together] very nicely." America’s favorite clearn-cut heartthrobs inspired by a wacky pregnant teen–has anybody told the suits at Disney?
- Janet Jackson continues to postpone concerts on her Rock Witchu tour, with performances in Greensboro, North Carolina Saturday, Atlanta Sunday, and Fort Lauderdale Tuesday delayed, along with shows in Montreal, Boston and Philadelphia–this after a doctor in Greensboro advised her not to perform because it was "evident" she had not recovered from whatever is ailing her. I certainly hope she isn’t turning back into Michael…
Olympic gold medal beach volleyball star Misty May-Treanor was hurt Friday and may be forced to end her competition on Dancing With The Stars, with a source stating that the injury to her Achilles heel would require surgery. Maybe the show would let her sub v-ball partner Kerri Walsh in–she looks good in a two-piece outfit too…
- The former headmistress of the school Oprah Winfrey owns in South Africa has filed a $250,000 suit against the talk show queen, claiming Oprah made defamatory remarks about her following reports that a female employee at the school was sexually abusing students there. Oprah has two choices–fight the suit tooth and nail, or settle and simply postpone her next shopping trip…
