Sheryl Crow has gone fashion designer, with a new line of denim wear that features jeans made to look just like the pricey styles–but at a more affordable price, as Sheryl explains, "My friends from home [in Missouri] are not gonna go out and spend 250 dollars on a pair of jeans, but they would like to look like they’re wearing 250-dollar jeans." - The Dark Knight continues to be a white knight for Warner Brothers, who announced that their latest Batman film has taken in over $400 million at the box office in just 18 days–smashing the previous record set by Shrek 2, which took over 3 weeks longer to hit that milestone. Many are coming to see the late Heath Ledger’s performance as The Joker, which looks to be one heck of a finale for him…

- The Jonas Brothers will take to the ice–sort of–when they help figure skating great Kristi Yamaguchi at her annual charity event October 12 in Phoenix. I’m sure they’ll get a warm reception–I just hope it’s not too warm…
- A pair of paparazzi trying to get pics of Britney Spears near her Studio City home Monday afternoon were arrested–for loitering on city-owned property. I’m sure those officers realize that these guys have a job to do–I just think the cops would prefer they do it trying to make babies laugh at Sears…
- Dark Knight star Christian Bale has denied allegations of assault made by his mother and sister in a statement made by his attorney after Bale was questioned by London police and then released without being charged. Maybe this is just a big misunderstanding–like they got mad because they think he’s deliberately not letting them get an autograph from Heath Ledger…
- The All-Star Game helped Fox win the TV ratings battle, as the game’s first 9 innings was the most-watched show last week. Of course, by the time the game actually ended, they were competing with a Billy Mays infomercial…
- The Hollywood Walk Of Fame is apparently in need of some serious TLC–the Chamber Of Commerce is trying to raise $4.2 million to repair and restore about a third of the Walk’s 2,365 total plaques. Raising money for damaged stars–sounds like a Lindsay Lohan benefit…
- A Long Island resident claims that Saturday Night Live creator Lorne Michaels has stolen his ideas and used them in the show, insisting that Michaels "somehow" tapped into his private conversations. Considering that this guy has also been charged with stalking Michaels, his wack job credentials are definitely confirmed…

- High School Musical has been an unbelievable success for Disney, but the reality show version airing on ABC–High School Musical: Get In The Picture–stumbled at the gate, with its premiere on Sunday finishing third in the 12 to 17 age group. Maybe more kids would have watched if Zac, Ashley and Vanessa had been contestants…
- I hear that Natasha Bedingfield, who’s wrapping up her first US tour this weekend, has had lot of fans have tell her that they’ve used her songs for special moments in their lives. Natasha says she doesn’t have any special formula, adding that, "I just try and write from a very real place, on issues that are quite universal"–guess it must be working…
- The musical buzz on Britney Spears is that she not only is at work on a new album this summer, but that her label wants it out by mid-December. I hear ex K-Fed is also at work on a recording–he’s trying to get his voicemail greeting down without making a mistake…
- It’s official–NBC announced Monday that Jay Leno’s last episode of The Tonight Show will be May 29, with Conan O’Brien set to take over as host on June 1. Between Leno’s public change-of-heart about wanting to leave, and the network’s obvious plans to go ahead anyway, this has all the makings of a really good bad soap opera…
- London’s Monday premiere of summer blockbuster The Dark Knight included star Christian Bale–despite charges of assault filed by the actor’s mother and sister. Maybe he mistook them for The Penguin and The Riddler…
- Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards were back in court Monday, with Richards requesting more custody alterations–most of which was rejected by the court, along with a change in the custody schedule. I know Sheen has been and is likely still a bit of a heel, but who else thinks she’s a candidate for Wack Job Of The Year?
