  • The Britney Spears-Dr. Phil fiasco is the gift that keeps on giving, as Entertainment Tonight reports that a source close to the Spears family claims anti-Dr. Phil comments made on The Today Show by a family spokesman were untrue.  I just love these situations where you know someone is lying–and any celebrity with the name Spears is a safe bet…
  • A newspaper report says Justin Timberlake is set to work on his next movie this month–only they think it’s one of three films, none of which currently has JT as a cast member.  Hopefully it’s not hung up on whether or not he can sing D**k In A Box
  • A spokesperson for Amy Winehouse claims an interview with her in OK! Magazine is bogus–it was acutally purchased from another company and contains random statements made by Amy the past two or three years.  Of course they were all about drug and alcohol abuse, so they’re probably still true…
  • There’s some talk that Paula Abdul will perform during the Super Bowl February 3.  The catch is that Simon Cowell will critique her performance and fans vote to see if she gets back on TV again…
  • Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve can still kick it–not only did this year’s broadcast increase its audience from last year, but it had 29 percent more viewers than New Year’s Eve shows on NBC and Fox combined.  I love Dick–I just hope they’re not using hydraulics so he can stand and talk…
